Sheena Marquis

Sheena is a social worker, speaker, writer, and songwriting musician. She is passionate about communicating the restorative power of the gospel and inviting people into the life and ways of Jesus. Sheena graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work with her BSW & holds her masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida. Sheena has served as a pastor and counselor, & currently works as a medical social worker in the non-profit Baylor Scott & White health system. She lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband Jeff & son Caedmon. In addition to living life on mission, Sheena enjoys traveling, cooking, & making music.

Rebekah Childers

Rebekah Guerry Childers (she/her) is a poet, essayist, and sheologian from North Mississippi. She grew up on the Black Belt Prairie soil of Choctaw land and received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Mississippi University for Women. She also holds a Masters in Religion from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her work has appeared in For Women Who Roar and A That Darn Chat Zine. Her interests include writing, reading, foraging, knitting, crafting, and sustainable play. She seduced a bass player many years ago who put a ring on it in 2012. Today, they live in Nashville, TN on Yuchi, Shawnee, and Cherokee, East land with their children and the absolute sweetest rescue dog known to man.

Marty Mikles

A producer, songwriter and worship leader, Marty Mikles has a charisma that welcomes people in both crowded rooms and one-on-one. With worship leading experience of over 20 years, as well as songwriting and production expertise, Marty is passionate about creating and capturing the essence of song and sound.

By serving the next generation, Marty’s ambition is to see creatives rise up into their unique calling. He seeks to foster space to meet with God in life-altering ways through worship, in celebration of His goodness and mercy.

Marty lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife, Joy, and children, Justice and Grace.

Jovanie Smith

Maya Angelou once said, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." If she was talking about someone, she was definitely talking about Jovanie JoJo Smith! Born and raised in West Palm Beach Florida, deep Haitian roots, lover of avocados, hot tea, and key lime pie - Jovanie is what you would call a vibrant vibe!

she is the Director of Global Programs for InterVarsity where she has the opportunity to lead leaders and students in the understanding of international programs, cultural awareness, and leadership. Her passion is investing in the next generation, creating opportunities for leadership growth, and having a good time. She enjoys exploring her city ATL and having a great time with friends and family.

Jason Pope

Jason Pope is the Executive Director and Founder of the Rain Collective, an organization working to disrupt cycles of exploitation in the Middle East and North Africa. Previous to the Rain Collective, Jason led anti-human trafficking initiatives for the Salvation Army World Service Office for seven years, providing technical support for work that addressed labor and sex trafficking issues for men, women, and children. These projects involved supporting work in the Gulf states and many source countries that send migrants into the Middle East, including Kenya, India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Uganda. He has also helped support The Salvation Army's work with Ethiopian and Philippine embassies in the Gulf states.

Jason served as the Principal Investigator of the Protecting At-risk Children Vulnerable to Exploitation project, funded by the US State Department. In this capacity, he managed multiple partnerships and provided technical support for developing clinical care approaches to aftercare for children who have experienced online sexual exploitation. For four years, Jason served as the chairperson for the Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking. Jason is a PhD candidate in the International Family and Community Studies program at Clemson University, where he is finalizing revisions on his dissertation that validated a human trafficking screening tool to be used at Entebbe Airport in Uganda. He holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgia State University and a Master of Arts degree from Columbia International University.

Joy Mikles

Joy works in the mental health field practicing Marriage and Family Therapy as well as working for the Bay Ridge Brooklyn Salvation Army Corps. She longs to live at the intersection of faith and mental health by providing teaching, counseling and hope to those of us experiencing brokenness. Joy currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two brilliant children.

Tamara Niedermann

Tamara Niedermann (she/her), doula, herbalist, and body literacy educator, is the owner and creator of The Kindred Feminine. She has a desire for deep relationship that has guided her journey to birth work, herbalism, and sexual and reproductive health education and advocacy. Tamara is passionate about making reproductive health, as a whole, a more just and equitable space for all people, acknowledging that Black, Indigenous, People of color (BIPOC), queer folk, and fat people have much worse reproductive outcomes than the unmarginalized. She’s an advocate for all menstruating and birthing people no matter their race, sexuality, gender, or size. She’s a thirty something, queer, cis, small fat, newlywed, daughter of an immigrant single mother, living in central Florida with her husband Mark and her two cats Albus and Rubeus.

Booth Jewett

Booth Jewett (he/him) got his Bachelor's of Science in Social Justice at Trevecca Nazarene University and a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) from the University of Vermont. He is a musician and passionate social justice advocate with expertise in regenerative farming, environmental justice and creation care theology. Currently, he is the Farm Manager of The Lionheart School, a non-profit school that specializes in educating individuals on the autism spectrum. He lives in Kennesaw, GA with his wife Brittany and 2 children, Emma and Vernon.
